Squire Patton Boggs has hired senior employment lawyer Chelsea Gunning as a director to establish its Labour and Employment Practice in Amsterdam. She joins the firm from A&O Shearman.

Ms. Gunning has extensive experience in advising and litigating on the full spectrum of employment, benefits and business immigration matters. Her work includes advising on mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations, employee representation, transfers of undertakings, outsourcings and collective bargaining agreements. She also manages collective and individual termination processes and advises on occupational health and safety.

Ms. Gunning teaches post-graduate courses at the Grotius Academy on a variety of employment law aspects, including European employment law, transgressive behaviour in the workplace and leave entitlements. She is also a board member at Bridges Network Foundation, a foundation committed to bridges the gap between first generation law students and law students with a bicultural background, and the legal field in the Netherlands.
Launched in February 2024, the firm’s Amsterdam office offers specialized corporate and transactional legal services to domestic and international companies on a diverse range of cross-border matters.
