Peter Kramer focuses his practice on insurance litigation and settlement advocacy. He concentrates on multistate insurance regulatory issues including sales practices, advertising and compliance with the various state regulatory requirements.
Peter has handled numerous mismanagement and fraudulent sales practice audits and investigations for clients in various industries including insurance, real estate and other regulated commercial sales sectors. He also advises clients on internal corporate audits and investigations regarding compliance, fraud and theft-related issues. In addition he has an extensive administrative practice and frequently appears before the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, Florida Attorney General and Florida Real Estate Commission.
Peter also has extensive experience in designing and implementing settlement programs. He was retained by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation to assist in the design and implementation of a mass catastrophic insurance mediation program, now a model for resolution of disputed coverage claims resulting from natural disasters. He serves as national settlement counsel for major companies for the resolution of product liability claims and is often retained to assist companies in resolving complex single incident or multi-claim cases. He is a frequent lecturer on settlement negotiations, mass tort resolutions and the aggregate settlement rule.
Since 2021, Peter has also served as an adjunct professor at Florida International University College of Law teaching Negotiations and Settlement.
