Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce the addition of partner Gary Hebert to its global Litigation Practice in Houston.
Mr. Hebert joins from McGlinchey Stafford where he served clients in a wide range of litigation matters, with a special emphasis representing global automobile manufacturers, industrial, consumer products, and construction companies on single-plaintiff and class action product liability lawsuits across the United States. He also regularly advises clients on risk mitigation and trial avoidance strategies.
“Gary’s years of experience and creative approach have positioned him as a go-to trial lawyer for companies facing complex products disputes, particularly with regard to the automotive and manufacturing industries,” said John Burlingame, global co-chair of the Squire Patton Boggs Litigation Practice. “His courtroom expertise strengthens our deep bench of trial lawyers and we are pleased to welcome him to our global team.”
Commenting on his move to the firm, Mr. Hebert said, “The combination of Squire’s strong reputation for products defense work, its vast automotive sector practice, and the scale of its global resources it can bring to bear for clients made it an attractive destination. I’m looking forward to working with my new colleagues.”
Squire Patton Boggs’ Products Liability Litigation Practice regularly represents clients as global, national, and regional coordinating counsel on mass action, multidistrict litigation, cross-border and individual lawsuits. It is internationally recognized for its successful defense of many of the world’s largest companies in cases involving catastrophic bodily injury, property damage or economic loss allegedly caused by defective products, devices, or exposure to toxic substances.
