As AI continues to revolutionize industries, staying ahead of the regulatory curve is crucial. With the entry into force of the EU AI Act in August 2024 and some of its obligations set to apply from as soon as February 2025, organizations providing or deploying their AI systems in the EU are pressed to assess its impact; having an AI governance system will not be enough. In addition, considering the characteristics of the regulation, understanding their obligations and preparing for compliance are more important than ever. For that purpose, we have created a snapshot of key regulatory points introduced by the AI Act that not only highlights what organizations need to consider to adhere to the act, but also provides strategic advice on how to do it effectively.
