A Unique Opportunity for Recruitment or Umbrella Companies to Feedback to HMRC
Do you routinely engage consultants, contractors or freelancers who provide their services via their own personal service companies (PSC)?
If so, we have secured a unique opportunity with HMRC to have your say on the new IR35 rules, which will have a major impact on the way you engage contractors if you operate in the private sector.
The UK government is currently consulting on how the new IR35 or off-payroll working regime will operate, and we will be running two events to gauge feedback on the proposals: one for end user companies on 30 April 2019 and one for recruiters and umbrellas on 3 May 2019.
The new rules will come into effect on 6 April 2020, when the responsibility for setting IR35 status will pass from individual contractors to the end user client that engages them. This will significantly increase administrative burden and costs, as well as potentially result in contractors increasing their rates.
This is the perfect opportunity to hear from HMRC the impact the changes will have on you before the consultation closes on 28 May 2019 and to engage with the UK government before the proposals become law.
