Caroline Almond specialises in environmental and infrastructure matters, including environmental due diligence on property and corporate transactions and advising on stand-alone environmental matters ranging from chemicals queries to contamination liability, packaging waste, asbestos and water law.
Caroline has experience in a wide range of infrastructure matters, including flooding and water law issues, rights of way and drainage projects, and has advised on major residential and commercial development projects for private and public bodies across the UK.
Caroline is an active member of the UK Environmental Law Association (UKELA).
- Negotiating and advising on complex environmental liability apportionment for a heavily contaminated site under regulator scrutiny for determination as contaminated land.
- Advising on asbestos, packaging and waste matters, including waste duty of care breaches and environmental permitting requirements, and permit transfers relating to sales and acquisitions of manufacturing sites.
- Acting for large residential developers on all aspects of drainage, flooding and highway agreements, and advising on effluent discharge on complex development sites.
- Advising global chemical manufacturers on compliance with REACH and CLP in connection with registrations, authorisations and labelling requirements.
