Jian (Brenda) Xu focuses her practice on cross-border transactions, including foreign direct investments in the US and China, mergers and acquisitions, fund formation, private equity transactions, joint ventures and partnerships, debt financing, corporate restructuring, and general corporate counseling.
Brenda has represented numerous clients in the technology, manufacturing, finance, real estate and other industries in their inbound and outbound matters over the past decade.
Brenda joined our Beijing office in 2008 and transferred to the Los Angeles office in 2012. She passed the PRC Bar Examination and was admitted in New York and California.
- Represented a global leading supplier for the automotive industry in its acquisitions, financing, restructuring, executive compensation, regulatory compliance and general corporate matters in the various jurisdictions of North America, Europe and Asia.
- Represented a financial services company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in its acquisitions in the US.
- Represented a Chinese aircraft company in its investment, corporate and general compliance matters in the US.
- Represented a US subsidiary of a Chinese state-owned enterprise with regard to its offering of commercial papers, private equity investments and other general corporate matters.
- Represented a couple of Chinese public companies in their acquisitions in the US.
- Represented top Chinese real estate developers in their real estate-related acquisitions, development, financing and general corporate matters in the US.
- Represented various multinationals, including Fortune 500 companies, in their direct investment, joint ventures, land use right acquisition, intellectual property protection, and general corporate matters in China.
