Patrick Ryan is a director in the Real Estate team based in London. He has many years’ experience advising institutions, property investors and developers, and industry businesses, in all aspects of real estate investment, development and corporate property transactions – acquisitions and disposals, whether single properties or portfolios, development and pre-letting work, joint venture and funding transactions, and the real estate aspects of all types of corporate and business asset transactions. Patrick has also extensively advised in specialist areas, notably the renewable energy, housebuilding and student accommodation sectors.

  • Advising Aviva Investors on the disposal of the Lanes Shopping Centre in Carlisle and Beacon Retail Park, Milton Keynes, both large multi-let retail properties.
  • Advising Quintain Estates on:
    • Pre-letting, forward funding and disposal transactions in relation to the Premier Inn hotel adjoining Wembley Stadium
    • The disposal of the multi-let York House building and car park, Wembley
  • Advised private investors on the purchase of two large multi-let mixed commercial and residential use buildings in central London: Dorset House on Marylebone Road and the Circle building near London Bridge.
  • Advised FORE Partnership in relation to various investment and development transactions, including the acquisition of 224-226 Tower Bridge Road in the City of London and advising in relation to all aspects of the proposed redevelopment of that property, which now has planning consent.
  • Advising, as part of a team, EDF Energy NGL on disposal arrangements for the establishment of the new nuclear power facility at Sizewell.
  • Advised EDF in relation to the office relocation of EDF’s nuclear generation arm to Gloucester Business Park.
  • Advised Taylor Wimpey in respect of the acquisition of a large development site near Dorset in Poole, which has planning consent for a 700 dwelling and complementary commercial use development.
