Tigran Piruzyan
Senior Associate
Tigran Piruzyan is a senior associate in the International Trade Practice, based in the Madrid office. With more than 10 years of experience, Tigran has assisted on a variety of engineering and construction contracts with global coverage, including, among others, preparation of proposals, due diligence of companies, the establishment of sanctions compliance and export control protections, preparation of claims and applications for licences. He has vast experience in negotiations with clients, subcontractors, vendors and licensors (particularly in the energy, oil and gas sectors), as well as preparation of joint venture/consortium agreement.

- Advising an EU engineering and construction company on development of projects in Russia, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, the US, Canada, Oman, Europe, Turkey and India.

- Advising an EU engineering and construction company on compliance with the EU, the US, the UK and Russia sanctions.
- Advising an EU engineering and construction company on undertaking oil and gas projects in Russia and Kazakhstan.
- Advising an EU engineering and construction company on maintenance and subsequent winding down of operations with a sanctioned entity and countries.
- Advising an EU engineering and construction company with respect to due diligence and KYC of entities.
- Advising one of the largest Russian electricity distribution grid companies in connection with its Eurobond offering.
- Advising OAO Magnit, the largest food retailer by the number of stores in Russia, in connection with its initial public offering.
- Representing the Bank of New York Mellon before the Arbitrage Court of the City of Moscow on the 22.5 billion claim brought by the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation.
