James Pike
Partner
James Pike is a partner in the Labour & Employment Practice based in the Manchester office.
James has extensive experience supporting corporate clients with complex employment-related issues. He provides commercial and business-focused advice, which supports his clients in securing their desired outcomes and navigating them through the associated legal risks.
Clients regularly come to James for his support with board-level disputes, complex discrimination matters, large-scale redundancies and complex TUPE transfers. He also advises clients in relation to industrial relations matters, such as recognition/derecognition of trade unions, navigating pay negotiations and disputes, and resolving threatened and taken industrial action.
James has a particular specialism in advising clients in relation to National Minimum Wage compliance, which includes undertaking internal audits and advising clients during HMRC investigations.
James is also an experienced litigator, having supported clients with defending the full gambit of employment tribunal claims, from unfair dismissal, to multiparty discrimination, whistleblowing and TUPE-related claims. He has significant experience in navigating complex pieces of litigation and securing clients’ desired outcomes.
