Laure Perrin is of counsel in the International Dispute Resolution Practice Group, based in the Paris office.

She advises and represents French and international clients in litigation proceedings before the French commercial, civil and administrative courts, as well as in national and international arbitration proceedings. Laure also has experience in mediation.

Her practice focuses on commercial, contract and corporate disputes, in particular in a complex and multijurisdictional context.

Laure also advises clients on insolvency and restructuring-related matters, in particular, creditors or buyers of distressed assets in the acquisition process and distressed companies and related-disputes.

She also has experience in the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards in France.

Civil and Commercial Litigation

  • Regularly advises companies, investors and shareholders in corporate and post-acquisition disputes.
  • Advising companies in commercial and contract-related disputes, including agency, distribution and franchise agreement-related disputes, abrupt termination of relationships.
  • Successfully represented minority shareholders in the annulment of an accordion deal and abuse of majority shareholder leading to the eviction of minority shareholders.
  • Representing an international group and an investor in enforcing liability guarantees in a post-acquisition dispute for breach of representation and warranties.
  • Representing a client in a post-acquisition dispute related to unfair competition and breach of non-compete undertaking by a former majority shareholder.
  • Representing a leading American industrial coating provider in multiple litigations and expert determination proceedings in France in relation to breach of contracts and product liability.
  • Represented one of the major French global groups in the production and sale of plant-based ingredients and pharmaceutical excipients in a €200 million corporate dispute.
  • Represented a leading network infrastructure provider in a €30 million dispute before the Paris Commercial Court in relation to contract liability and product liability.
  • Represented a leading Spanish company specialised in the design, fabrication, engineering and erection of structural steel in various construction and contract disputes against major French construction companies.

  • Representing an African state in annulment proceedings.
  • Representing a Middle Eastern company in a €110 million highly sensitive ICC arbitration involving five entities arising out of a contract for the construction of a logistics hub and provision of services in the military sector.
  • Representing a state-owned oil corporation in a highly sensitive ad hoc arbitration relating to the impact of acts of war/insurrection on the performance of a charter party.
  • Represented a French distributor of marine diesel engines against the major Japanese/Dutch manufacturer of marine engines in a €20 million NAI arbitration arising out of a breach and wrongful termination of contract.
  • Represented a Hungarian bio-refinery in a €20 million ICC construction arbitration arising from a breach of contract in relation to the supply of a drying and distillation system.
  • Represented a leading French company in an ICC arbitration in relation to a gas price review dispute.

Restructuring and Insolvency

  • Advising a trustee in the context of international insolvency of a football player and the effect of the insolvency on assets located in France.
  • Regularly advises investors in the acquisition of distressed assets before French courts or in relation to restructuring issues.
  • Regularly advises creditors and/or financers in relation to safeguarding their assets and receivables in insolvency proceedings (retention of title claims).
  • Advised a leading French group in the metallurgy sector in relation to the acquisition of the assets of an insolvent entity specialised in the construction of solar trackers and subsequent litigations on post-acquisition and retention of title-related issues.
  • Advised a Middle Eastern defence entity in the purchase of an insolvent entity specialised in the manufacture and sale of ammunition production lines and subsequent related disputes.

  • Advising a trustee in the context of international insolvency of a football player and the effect of the insolvency on assets located in France.
