Małgorzata Olech focuses her practice on financial services, including banking and finance and capital market transactions. With formal training and experience in Polish and American law, she has represented clients in domestic transactions in Poland and in the US, as well as in various cross-border financings. Małgorzata has experience in structuring, drafting and negotiating credit facilities and security interest agreements of many types, including syndicated loans, asset-based lending, real estate and acquisition financings. As a member of the firm’s US capital markets team, she worked on numerous debt and equity offerings. Małgorzata also has extensive experience in real estate transactions.

After graduating from the New York University School of Law LL.M. program and passing the New York State Bar Exam, Malgorzata worked for more than a year as a foreign associate at our  New York office.

Małgorzata is a PhD student at Jagiellonian University Faculty of Law. In addition to her legal education, Małgorzata has a B.Sc. degree in International Business and as a student participated in student exchange at Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. She is a member of the Chamber of Legal Advisors in Warsaw, Poland and is admitted to practice in the New York State.

  • Counseling a Germany-based security agent in connection with a €150 million syndicated loan on issues related to security interest over real property and assets located in Poland.
  • Advising a foreign financial institution in connection with asset-based cross-border lending and its further restructurings.
  • Counseling a US government agency in connection with a loan agreement granted to a Poland-based residential developer.
  • Advising a private equity fund in connection with a leveraged buyout of a Poland-based company.
  • Drafting and negotiating numerous commercial premises purchase and lease agreements on behalf of a global grocery and general merchandise retailer.
  • Advising a Spanish renewable energy investor on financial and real estate issues related to acquisition of wind farms in Poland.
