David specialises in private equity transactions, as well as UK and international mergers and acquisitions (M&A). His private equity experience includes acting for numerous private equity houses and a wide range of management teams and shareholders of businesses in diverse industry sectors. He has advised on investments, acquisitions, buyouts and disposals across the financial and professional services, manufacturing, engineering, food and drink, consumer, technology and healthcare sectors. He has completed more than 150 M&A deals, including many cross-border transactions, and has acted for multinational corporations in complex reorganisations across several jurisdictions.

Clients have described David as “calm under pressure”, “technically excellent” and “of all the international counsel we have, David is the most responsive and easiest to work with”.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, David was a political lobbyist in Westminster.
