Angela Melo advises and assists clients in corporate, contractual and financing matters, participating and assisting in transactions and deals, including sales, capital reductions, due diligence and company maintenance. She assists clients in labor and immigration matters, and other regulatory processes. In general, Angela advises clients on general corporate issues and legal maintenance of companies in different industries, assisting national and multinational entities with their day-to-day needs.
Angela focuses her practice on secured financing operations, corporate maintenance, including the preparation of documents required for the operation of commercial entities, and nonprofit organizations that participate in different markets (such as energy, film production, sports and manufacturing). She has assisted international investors, local and international entities, distributors, free trade zone entities and parks.
- Assisting one of the largest manufacturers of construction and mining equipment with its financing operations in the Dominican Republic.
- Advising clients on contractual matters, including the structuring and securing of a significant number of asset-backed financing transactions for the acquisition of heavy equipment in the Dominican Republic.
- Participating in due diligence procedures for the acquisition and sale of companies in the Dominican Republic.
- Advising local and foreign clients with the maintenance of local and foreign companies, as well as subsidiaries, at corporate, tax and labor levels.
- Assisting foreign clients with immigration matters, including employment-based visas and residencies.
- Assisting foreign and local clients with incorporation and maintenance of nonprofit organizations.
