Associate
Abigail Kennedy is an associate in the Commercial Litigation team, based in the Manchester office. She qualified in September 2023, after training with the firm. Abigail advises a variety of businesses on litigious matters, including contractual disputes, pensions litigation, professional negligence and defamation.
- Acting for a major UK bank regarding professional negligence claims against conveyancing solicitors relating to mortgage transactions.
- Acted for a client on an accused breach of collective investment scheme rules as set out in the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
- Advised a regulatory body on the nature of legal advice received from previous legal counsel.
- Advised a client on the terms in a share purchase agreement for an indemnity claim arising from dilapidations of a property.
- Advised a client on enforcing restrictive covenants in a former employee’s contract.
- Acted for a software provider in a mediation, conducted to recover amounts owed for services performed under a large contract.
- Advised a client on the historical implementation of the normal retirement date in a pension scheme.
