Carlos Guzmán Plascencia is of counsel in the International Dispute Resolution Practice. His practice focuses on representing states and state owned entities in investor state disputes and commercial arbitrations, with a particular emphasis on disputes in the sectors of construction and infrastructure, telecommunications, and energy.
Carlos has been involved in arbitration proceedings under the rules of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).
Before joining the firm, Carlos was an associate in the International Arbitration group of a major international law firm.
