Joanna Galbraith is a director in the Labour & Employment team, based in the Birmingham office. She joined the firm in February 2014, after spending a number years in the employment team of another global law firm.
Joanna has experience of advising clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters. She is accustomed to running complex employment tribunal claims including serious allegations of whistleblowing and disability discrimination and has experience of conducting advocacy at tribunal hearing at both the preliminary and final stages.
Joanna also regularly advises on large scale contract and policy reviews, including changes to terms and condition. She has recently advised a plc client undergoing a major restructure, which has involved both collective redundancy consultation and advice on TUPE issues. She has several years’ experience working with clients in the energy and utilities sector.
Joanna is a keen speaker at client training events, both those run by the firm in house and those designed and delivered specifically to meet client needs.
Joanna participates in various pro-bono activities locally, including volunteering for the Birmingham Legal Advice Clinic.
