Tony Core’s practice focuses on working with the state of Ohio, counties, municipalities, townships, port authorities, school districts, hospitals and other 501(c)(3) entities, serving as bond counsel and underwriters’ counsel on general obligation, revenue and tax increment financings, and advising governmental entities in connection with economic development projects.
Prior to beginning his legal career, Tony served for several years as a constituent aide in the Ohio Senate for several senators, providing him his first experience of public service and working with governmental entities.
Tony began his legal career with Squire Patton Boggs, where after several years, he left the firm to serve as a State Representative in the Ohio House of Representatives. Tony served as a representative for more than nine years, including serving as Chairman of a Finance Subcommittee through several state budgets. Tony then served as a County Commissioner for nine years, before returning to the firm. He has served as the municipal attorney for several villages and general counsel for a school district. Tony now leverages the extensive state and local government experience he has gained to benefit clients.
