Frankie Cooke is a senior associate in the firm’s Corporate Practice. Frankie qualified at a US international firm based in London in 2015 and, prior to joining the firm, practiced corporate law in the London office of a leading Icelandic law firm.

Frankie has a broad range of experience covering all aspects of corporate work, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital investments, corporate restructuring and corporate advisory matters.

Frankie has previously spent six months on secondment working in-house as legal counsel at Smiths Group plc, a FTSE 100 diversified engineering business headquartered in London.

  • Acting for Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc., an S&P 500 global fintech leader, on its US$2.5 billion acquisition of Itiviti Holdings, a multinational developer of trading technology, from Nordic Capital.
  • Representing EDF Renewables on its growing grid scale solar portfolio, including (i) the acquisition of Burwell, a large-scale solar project in Cambridgeshire; and (ii) the acquisition of a consented solar farm and battery storage unit in North Anglesey.
  • Acting for Lloyd’s Register on its divestiture of its Riskspectrum and Subsurface businesses to Total Specific Solutions.
  • Acting for Regis Group on its joint venture with Blackstone to launch Leaf Living, a specialist provider of new-build rental housing in the UK.
  • Advising a UK-based market leader in power trading and AI energy storage optimisation on various strategic partnerships.
  • Advising the individual shareholders of Chemical Watch, a global provider of insights for professionals managing chemicals, on their sale to CGE-backed Enhesa, a global environmental, environmental health and safety intelligence platform.
  • Advising DMGT plc on its acquisition of an energy conferencing business, CWC Group.
  • Representing a growing small and medium-sized enterprise specialising in rechargeable battery optimisation on its US$27 million Series A fundraising.
  • Acting for a NASDAQ Nordic-listed company on its disposal of a Hong Kong-headquartered mobile phone accessories business for approximately US$50 million.
  • Representing a specialised investment bank in multiple inbound UK investments, including a £12.5 million investment in a UK commercial bridging lender.
  • Representing H.B. Fuller Company in its US$1.575 billion acquisition of Royal Adhesives & Sealants.
  • Acting for a UK-listed property management company with a £4 billion property portfolio on the restructuring of its UK group.
  • Advising a leading Icelandic geothermal drilling company on its acquisition of an interest in a large-scale geothermal project in Ethiopia, a phased project with an aggregate investment cost of approximately US$4 billion.
