Jenna Coogle is a senior associate in our Washington DC office, where she concentrates on corporate and financial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, corporate governance and securities law. She has worked with public and private clients across a wide range of industries, including pharmaceutical, financial services and government services.

Jenna received her law degree from Wake Forest University in 2017. While there, she served as an articles editor on the Journal of Business and Intellectual Property and a project coordinator on the Pro Bono Board. Additionally, she spent two semesters interning at the Securities Exchange Commission in the Division of Corporation Finance. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Florida.

Jenna’s experience in mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions includes: 

  • Advising public company Sterling Bancorp in various common stock and subordinated note offerings as well as its 2022 sale to Webster Financial Corp. in a transaction valued at US$10.3 billion.
  • Represented Acumen Solutions, a leading professional services firm headquartered in McLean, VA, in its sale to Salesforce.
  • Advising a public biopharmaceutical company in a series of private placements of common stock and warrants to both US and international investors, various public offerings of common stock and warrants, and conducting an at-the-market offering.
