Marga Caproni is a partner in our Brussels office and leads the Labour & Employment team in Belgium. She is an experienced employment lawyer, who advises Belgian, European and US clients in both the private and public sector. Marga also has extensive experience in the area of workplace pensions and data privacy.

In employment law, she advises on individual and collective employment issues and has been actively involved in several national and international restructurings, as well as individual dismissal cases, on both sides of the table.

She has a special focus on data privacy issues, such as advising clients on the implications of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the employment law context, conducting company investigations, e-mail monitoring and whistleblowing schemes.

Marga has a keen interest in artificial intelligence (AI) and the ways it can be deployed in human resources. She regularly advises HR and legal teams on this topic. Due to personal experience on the development side of AI, she is eager to understand the mechanics behind the technology she advises on.

She is co-author of Praktische gids privacy in de onderneming (Practical Guide: Privacy in the Company, 2017), which explains the application of the GDPR and other privacy legislation and provides useful guidance on compliance for HR managers, marketing directors, IT managers and corporate lawyers.

Marga has considerable experience in the field of workplace pensions and advises clients on the implementation and modification of pension plans.

She was praised in Legal 500 as a lawyer who “boils issues down to key points”.
