Bevan Blake advises insurance companies, private equity companies and other financial service companies on a variety of regulatory compliance and transactional matters. He has assisted insurance companies offering all lines of insurance on a wide range of company operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant rules and regulations. He assists with both regulatory and corporate matters, including insurance investment and accounting rules, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance matters.

His relevant experience includes:

  • Advising one of the largest global private equity companies regarding emerging investment rules being developed by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). He has guided the client in creating a strategy to understand, shape and respond to the changing regulatory landscape.
  • Assisting insurance companies complete significant acquisitions by leading the due diligence, structuring the terms of the agreement to ensure compliance with the insurance holding company act and completing the required regulatory filings to ultimately ensure regulatory approval of the transaction.
  • Helping a large national health insurer with their business development strategy, including identifying potential new markets and assisting them bid and secure state Medicaid contracts.

Bevan’s deep experience with the insurance industry, including his familiarity with the emerging rules and regulations addressing the rise of private equity involvement in the industry puts him in a unique position to assist clients meet their strategic goals moving forward.
