Squire Patton Boggs advised on two winning transactions at the IJGlobal Awards celebrating the most innovative and market-shaping infrastructure transactions across the Americas.

In the “Transport Deal of the Year – Airports, North America” category, the firm served as co-bond counsel to the New York Transportation Development Corporation on a long-term tax-exempt conduit revenue bond issuance for JFK Millennium Partners, LLC for nearly $2 billion. The bonds were used to refinance a portion of the $4.2 billion financing of the JFK Terminal 6 Project, which is among the top three largest municipal bond financing projects at a US airport since 2021.

Squire Patton Boggs’ team was led by public and infrastructure finance partners Alethia Nancoo and Catherine Romanchek

In the “Bond of the Year – Refi, Latin America” category, the firm acted as Dominican counsel to the underwriters and lenders of the Dominican Republic’s main airport concessionaire, Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom), in a $940 million financial transaction, one of the largest financings in the history of the country.

The Santo Domingo-based team was led by partners Rhina Martinez and Pedro Gamundi

IJGlobal fielded more than 1,500 submissions worldwide. Award recipients were announced at the prize-giving gala at Gotham Hall in New York, in which more than 400 infrastructure and energy leaders were in attendance.
