Squire Patton Boggs Advises on €200 Million Sale of Hotel Miguel Ángel – the Largest Deal in the Spanish Hotel Sector This Year

Squire Patton Boggs has advised General Mediterranean Holding Group, SPF (GMH SPF) on the €200 million sale of Hotel Miguel Ángel to Lopesan Hotel Group and investor Stoneweg Hospitality. The transaction marks the largest deal in the Spanish hotel sector in 2024.

The Squire Patton Boggs team was led by Real Estate partner Ramón Castilla, assisted by Laura Gómez, Cristina Fernández, Marina Fernández, Pablo Suarez López (Real Estate), Ana Bohórquez (Financial Services); Jose Aguilar-Shea, Miguel Nasser, Andrea Boullosa and Valle de Lara (Tax Strategy and Benefits), and Ignacio Regojo and Antonio García (Labour and Employment).

Opened in 1977 and since then developed by GMH SPF, Hotel Miguel Ángel is a prestigious 241-room hotel located on the Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid. It is one of the most well-known luxury hotels in the city.
