Squire Patton Boggs is moving into new, larger premises in Merrion Square, Dublin, less than a year after opening in Ireland. As of 1 February, the firm’s office will be based at Ella House, on the historic Georgian square at the heart of Ireland’s capital city.
Dennis Agnew, Managing Partner in Ireland, said, “We are delighted to have a new home for the firm at Ella House, a building whose history stretches back 250 years and which has been beautifully redesigned for modern business. We have enjoyed rapid growth since launching in Ireland last May, advising on multiple, successfully completed Irish and cross-border transactions and more than doubling the size of our team, so this move is opportune.”
“Ella House will provide the perfect working environment as we continue to build our corporate, private equity and funds practices and leverage our transatlantic and pan-European capabilities on behalf of our Irish and international clients.”
Squire Patton Boggs in Ireland is led by Corporate and Private Equity partners Dennis Agnew and George Kennedy and the ten-strong team has been drawn from the leading domestic and international firms in Ireland. Working closely with colleagues across Squire Patton Boggs’ 40 plus offices, the Irish team has successfully closed several cross-border corporate and private equity transactions in sectors as diverse as financial services, technology, healthcare, retail and food and drink.
Building on the success of its Dublin launch, Squire Patton Boggs also recently announced new offices in Amsterdam and Riyadh as well as senior hires across its core global practice areas.
“We are excited about our augmented global platform,” commented Global Managing Partner, Clients & Strategy, Steve Mahon. “Our Irish practice is off to a great start and will play an important role in our continued success.”
