India Business Law Journal has selected Squire Patton Boggs among its “Top 12 Foreign Law Firms” for India-related work, moving up a band in the annual rankings that reveal the India-related achievements and activities of law firms around the world.
The report draws on an analysis of more than 600 global law firms that have documented deals and matters with an Indian element in the past 12 months. The results are based on intensive research, deep editorial experience and interviews with corporate counsel and Indian law firms. Of the firm, India Business Law Journal remarked how Squire Patton Boggs has “soar[ed] into the top tier after being at the forefront of some of the largest and most widely reported capital markets deals in India.”
The firm’s India Practice is comprised of more than 100 lawyers globally and dedicated team members in key locations, including Singapore, Hong Kong, London, New York, Washington DC, Dubai, Shanghai and Perth. At the start of 2018, the firm became a founding partner of the Manchester-India Partnership, a groundbreaking public-private partnership launched in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry. In May, the firm appointed the former head of the India Practice at Herbert Smith Freehills, Nimi Patel, as a director in its India Practice in London.
