This week, global law firm Squire Patton Boggs has moved into new premises at No 1 Spinningfields in Manchester. The firm, with a proud history of over 25 years in the North West, now occupies 27,500 square foot of office space over three tower floors in the landmark development in central Manchester.
Rob Elvin, managing partner of Squire Patton Boggs in Manchester, said: “We are delighted with our new office at No 1 Spinningfields, which provides us with a modern, world-class working environment, reflective of our global brand; a prestigious platform for the firm’s long term future in the city.
“In the coming weeks we are looking forward to welcoming clients and business contacts to our new office, which will provide a fantastic working environment for us all.”
More than 125 staff in Manchester and the firm’s client base in the North West will now benefit from a raft of facilities, including a client suite, office working space designed to facilitate greater collaboration between teams, and a rooftop bar with panoramic views across the city.
The office move caps a successful and award-winning year in Manchester, with the firm experiencing significant financial growth, increasing its lawyer headcount, and achieving market recognition through a string of accolades, including “Law Firm of the Year” at Insider’s North West Dealmakers Awards 2017.
The firm has invested heavily in Manchester, having appointed seven new partners over the past two years, most recently hiring Kerry Lee, the former Head of Group Intellectual Property of Walgreens Boots Alliance in December. His appointment followed the appointments of James Fitzgibbon and Andrea Cropley (Corporate), Mark Barker (Real Estate) and Debra Cooper (Financial Services) and the promotions to partner of Bryn Doyle (Labour & Employment) and Jonathan Brooke (Real Estate).
Mr. Elvin added: “As the firm continues to grow in Manchester, we are strengthening our capabilities with the appointment of highly skilled, specialist lawyers across all of our practices. These appointments, together with our move to No 1 Spinningfields, underline the scale of our ambition for continued growth in the region and our desire to provide the highest quality service to our clients.”
Squire Patton Boggs’ Manchester office services a range of clients across the North West, the UK and internationally, with particular expertise in sectors such as chemicals, renewables, diversified industrials, retail and finance.
