Centro Financiero BHD and Grupo Financiero León closed the US$5.5 billion merger on February 1, 2014. Other notable deals include acting as Dominican counsel to the Inter-American Investment Corporation while performing a limited due diligence process on Banco Popular Domingo; and acting as local counsel to Banco Multiple Leon as leader of a pool of banks in the granting of a US$19 million syndicated loan to Playa Grande Golf Resort for the development of Hotel & Villas Aman and golf course in Playa Grande.
