During an appearance on MSNBC, Partner David Tafuri commented on the boggled ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, claiming, “We seem very far right now from an overall peace agreement.” Mr. Tafuri pointed out Hamas’ desperation to prove any gains from the recent violence and recommended dividing the Palestinian people from the group. In terms of a ceasefire Mr. Tafuri noted, “There are now contrary terms by both sides. Hamas is insisting the blockade be removed and Israel on the other hand is saying Gaza needs to be demilitarized.” “If you can’t reach a temporary ceasefire it’s going to be very hard to reach an overall peace agreement and so there is a big test now for Secretary Kerry,” he added.
