In May 2020, the European Commission (EC) presented a major Recovery Plan for Europe through the NextGenerationEU (NGEU), a recovery instrument that would raise funds to support financing in the EU 27 member states (MS).
The RRF will support medium- to longer-term reforms and investments, notably in green and digital technologies (“twin transition”) with a sustainable and lasting impact on the productivity and economic and social resilience of the applicant MS.
