Overview of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Status Under Customs Law

The abbreviation AEO stands for Authorized Economic Operator. In Germany, the term used is “Zugelassener Wirtschaftsbeteiligter.”  In principle, any company that is based in the EU and is involved in customs procedures can apply for the status of an AEO.
