The Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009

On 12 November 2009, the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 received Royal Assent. It contains provisions in relation to Exclusion Orders which may affect the PFI/PPP market as a whole potentially leading to the end of the detailed and lengthy contract drafting designed to avoid "paid-when-paid" and "paid-when-certified" issues created by the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996.
