#PensionsTensions Part 3: The Employer Experience

Welcome to Part 3 of our #PensionsTensions series of publications focusing on The Employer Experience. Part 2 last week explored The Trustee Experience, examining the pressures around resilience, quality, quantity and evolution in an economy facing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our #PensionsTensions campaign examines the key challenges currently facing UK pensions from various perspectives, in each case exploring four aspects, assigning each a #PressureMeasure (the higher the score the greater the pressure being faced) and giving our view on where further reflection might lead to welcome change.

In the third of our series of publications, we focus on the Employer Experience, examining the pressures around:

  • Relationships – How Can Employers Balance their Corporate Objectives with Maintaining a Good Relationship with their Pension Scheme Trustees?
  • Affordability – Has the Pandemic Made Defined Benefit Schemes Unaffordable?
  • Regulatory – What Challenges are Posed by New Regulatory Powers?
  • Adaptability – Is the Current Scheme Design Fit for Purpose for a Post-COVID Workforce?

Download our publication to find out more about these ongoing and emerging challenges.

Look out for our final publication in the series, which will be released on Tuesday 11 August. We will also be following up with a full report in September.
