Sophie Copson joined the Birmingham office’s Labour & Employment Practice Group in September 2011 following completion of her training contract with the firm. Sophie has experience in both transactional and employment litigation matters, and has handled a wide variety of employment tribunal claims. She has also been a presenter at multiple client workshops.

Sophie is involved in a variety of pro bono activities. She advises at the Birmingham Legal Advice Clinic, partakes in the office’s Right to Read initiative and is closely involved in the firmwide Business in the Community projects.

Prior to her career in law, Sophie received an undergraduate degree in modern language studies at the University of Nottingham, during which she obtained fluency in French, German and Spanish.
