International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Handbook

June 2023

Squire Patton Boggs’ ITAR Handbook is now available to download

The ITAR Handbook includes a complete copy of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), a primer on the ITAR, government personnel phonebook of DDTC, and a listing of abbreviations from Trade and the ITAR. It also contains a copy of the new 600 series for items that have transitioned from the ITAR’s United States Munitions List (USML) to the Commerce Control List (CCL) of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

We recommend a thorough review of the items you export in order to determine if you need to re-classify their export jurisdiction from ITAR to EAR. Transitioning items may also require updated Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs) or other authorizations from the Departments of State or Commerce.

For more information on the ITAR please contact your principal Squire Patton Boggs lawyer or one of the individuals listed in this publication.
