Alison Treliving co-chairs our global Labour & Employment Practice Group and is a former member of the firm’s Global Board. Alison regularly provides strategic support to clients on matters such as diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), investigations and whistleblowing, board-level appointments and departures, multijurisdictional projects, sensitive and complex disciplinary and grievance matters, cross-jurisdictional disputes and business reorganisations. She is also an experienced litigator who takes a particular interest in complex discrimination claims. Alison is passionate about DEI and, as well as advising clients in this area, she is also co-chair of the firm’s Global Diversity Committee.

Alison is an experienced presenter and regularly presents at seminars and training events organised by the firm, third parties and clients/contacts. Alison also takes an active role and interest in the design and implementation of such events.

  • Advising a manufacturing business in relation to large-scale redundancy programme following a TUPE transfer.
  • Acting for an employment agency in relation to a complex constructive dismissal, sex discrimination and equal pay claim.
  • Advising a PLC in relation to a cross-jurisdictional business re-organisation.
  • Drafting and negotiating the employment provisions in outsourcing agreements.
  • Advising a company in relation to a complex disciplinary investigation and subsequent dismissal.
  • Assisting a company with a re-organisation of its business and subsequent redundancies.
  • Advising major energy company in relation to a response to an Equal Pay Questionnaire and ongoing Equal Pay issues.
  • Advising a company in relation to the sale of part of its business that resulted in the transfer of half of its workforce to a competitor.
  • Defending finance sector client in relation to age, sex and race discrimination claim.
