Ludovic Roche has joined Squire Patton Boggs as a partner in the Labor & Employment Practice in Paris from Fasken Martineau. With nearly two decades of experience, Mr Roche has advised on a wide range of employment matters for international companies with French operations. He advises on sensitive individual and strategic collective matters, including in employment litigation. He has particular expertise in counselling clients during mergers, acquisitions and organizational restructurings.
Speaking of his appointment, Ludovic Roche said: “I am delighted to be joining one of the most global firms in the world. I look forward to serving my clients within a preeminent pan-European Labor & Employment team and as part of a highly collaborative international practice group.”
Christopher Wilde, Managing Partner of the Paris office, said: “Our clients are increasingly seeking employment expertise within the M&A and restructuring context combined with HR experience in complex management matters. Given our credentials in a number of key industries for the French economy, Ludovic will provide additional strength in these areas for our quickly expanding national and international client base in addition to our reinforcing our already substantial employment law capability.”
“Ludovic’s appointment further reinforces the strength and depth of our practice right across Europe and overseas. As a full-service practice, with a highly respected business immigration practice and internal HR consultancy, we are increasingly advising on some of the most complex cross-border transactions and global transformation projects ever seen,” noted Caroline Noblet, Co-Chair of the Labor & Employment Practice. “Ludovic will help us to further build, expand and enrich the Labor & Employment Practice going forward.”
Mr Roche’s longstanding associate, Claire Lintingre, will also join the firm from Fasken Martineau as a senior associate in London. Ms Lintingre will act as a focal point between the London and Paris offices working in French law.
Mr Roche’s appointment is the fourth partner hire in Europe over the last year in Labor & Employment, in addition to three promotions to partnership. Lutz Hoheisel joined the firm in September as a partner in Frankfurt, Paula Cole joined in May in Manchester and Hana Gawlasová joined in December 2014 in Prague. Mr Roche will work closely with Jean-Marc Sainsard, team leader in Paris, and Pauline Pierce, who was promoted to partner earlier this year. Bryn Doyle in Manchester and Miriam Lampert in London were promoted to partner at the same time. The Squire Patton Boggs Labor & Employment Practice is now recognized as one of the largest 25 in the world.
