The European Union and the United States agreed in 2013 to launch negotiations for a Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), two years and 10 negotiating rounds later, where do we stand and what do businesses need to know?

If successfully agreed by both parties, TTIP would result in the biggest trade deal since the World Trade Organization was founded 20 years ago. Over and above its potential economic value, there is common understanding that the deal represents a unique opportunity for the EU and the US to work together to define future global rules and standards.

However, the negotiations through 2014 brought to light several challenges in the EU-US trade relationship. As the 11th round of negotiations take place in Miami in mid-October 2015, this timely conference will explore the current state of play, issues of particular importance in the negotiations and its likelihood for success.
