Squire Patton Boggs principal Paula Galhardo has been recognized as a 2021 Top Woman Lawyer by the Texas Diversity Council. The recognition is awarded annually to legal industry leaders who show commitment to diversity and community well-being by displaying high integrity and ethical behavior.
Ms. Galhardo is principal in the firm's Corporate Practice Group and chair of the firm's Brazil Country Desk. She represents a diverse range of businesses – from owner-managed groups to multinationals operating in the chemicals, energy, industrial and manufacturing sectors – in inbound and outbound international transactional matters involving Latin America, including mergers and acquisitions, international contracts, anticorruption compliance and investigations. She is the legal advisor of the Brazil-Texas Chamber of Commerce (BRATECC), a board member of the Houston Bar Association International Section and an active member of a number of other bar and trade associations, including the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN), Institute for Energy Law (IEL), New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) and Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
Ms. Galhardo was awarded the honor at the virtual 2021 Texas Legal Diversity Summit on Tuesday, September 28.
